A rare John Rose, Coalbrookdale plate

A rare John Rose, Coalbrookdale plate, from the service made for the London Banquet for the Emperor and Empress of France, April 19th 1855, painted in coloured enamels with flags, the pink ground border with an eagle, a lion and inscriptions, within raised paste gilded flower, leaf and diaper cartouches, 9 1/4" diameter, inscribed in gilt verso 'Manufactured for J and T Staples...for the Imperial Table on the Visit of the Emperor and Empress of the French to the City of London, April 19th 1855'
