A very rare Bristol bottle coaster

A very rare Bristol cylindrical bottle coaster, with two lion mask moulded handles, finely painted in coloured enamels with two sprays of flowers and leaves, and scattered flowers, within gilt line and dentil borders, 5 3/4" diameter overall, circa 1775, blue cross mark and numeral 10

Provenance; Creed Collection, acquired from Albert Amor

We only record one other of these coasters, photographed in the Albert Amor archive, which was sold to Peter Stephens in 1962
