A rare Chaffer's Liverpool small baluster shaped mug, the flattened loop handle with scroll terminal, finely painted in coloured enamels in Chinese famille rose palette with two long tailed birds in flowering branches, blue rockwork, a large butterfly and a fence, the interior with a flower panelled iron red diaper band, the handle with an iron red scroll, 3 1/4" high, circa 1760, no mark
