A superb Derby oval plaque, brilliantly painted in coloured enamels by James Rouse Senior with a still life of flowers and fruit, on a stone ledge, a mountainous landscape beyond, 8" high, circa 1830, signed lower left, in gilt frame with gilt slip, with printed trade label for Arthur Ackerman & Son, 50 East 57th Street, New York, inscribed 'very rare painted plaques, Derby, signed J Rouse'
