A set of four Derby biscuit porcelain groups, representing The Four Elements; Air as a putto beside a cage; Earth a putto with a spade; Fire a putto sharpening arrows on a grindstone and Water as a putto with a fishing net and fish, each group with a tree-stump, on mound base, 8 1/4" high, circa 1775, incised crowned crossed batons marks, model number 48 and various repairer's marks

These groups are after Tournai models by Nicholas-Joseph-Francois Gauron, circa 1760
