A rare Worcester tea bowl and saucer

A rare Worcester tea bowl and saucer, finely painted in Japanese Kakiemon palette with two long-tailed birds, one perched in a tree, in a fenced garden with flowers and 'banded hedges', circa 1755, no mark

Provenance; English Private Collection

See Albert Amor, The Cohen Collection, 1992, number 46, for a teapot stand, then the only recorded example of this rare pattern. A small mug in this pattern was exhibited by Albert Amor in 2003. A comparable tea bowl and saucer was in the Zorensky Collection
