A superb Derby campana shaped vase

A superb Derby campana shaped vase, of exceptional size, brilliantly painted in coloured enamels by William 'Quaker' Pegg with an all over design of luscious flowers and leaves, within gilt line and anthemion borders, on square base, 18 1/4" high, circa 1813-20, crowned crossed batons mark in red

The scale of this important vase has allowed Pegg, one of the greatest flower painters on porcelain, to show his exceptional skills at their dramatic best
