A rare pair of Vauxhall small vases

A rare pair of Vauxhall small ogre shaped vases, after a Vincennes model, each leaf moulded rim with two loop handles, finely painted in coloured enamels in the London atelier of James Giles to each side with elegant figures in wooded gardens, within gilt flower, leaf and trelllis cartouches, on a blue ground, on round base, 5" high, circa 1763-68, no mark

See Stephen Hanscombe, James Giles. China and Glass Painter, number 89, for a pair of vases of this form, then attributed to Bow. Another pair, but painted with exotic birds, from the Robert F Burke Collectuon, was exhibited Albert Amor, May 2024, number 20
