A rare Worcester ribbed tea bowl, very finely painted in Chinese famille rose palette with flowers issuing from pierced rockwork, with pencilled detailing, and with a butterfly, the interior painted with a flower, within an iron red pendant flower head band, 3" diameter, circa 1754-55, no mark

Another tea bowl in this pattern, with its saucer, formerly in the Nina Weil Collection, was exhibited by Simon Spero, and listed as the only known example of this pattern
