Fidelle Duvivier was born in Tournai, and travelled widely painting ceramics in France, Holland, and England. In England he worked for New Hall and Derby, and is believed to have painted in London for James Giles and other decorating workshops

This signed portrait of an as yet unidentified young boy is an important documentary record of his work
