A rare Chelsea figure of Flora
A rare Chelsea figure of Flora, probably modelled by Joseph Willems, standing, with flowers in her hair, and wearing a flower painted robe, before a tree-stump, and with flowers in her right right hand, beside a large ovoid vase, moulded with yellow ground swags painted with flowers and leaves, the scroll moulded mound base with a dolphin mask, picked out in gilt, and applied with coloured flowers and leaves, 9 1/2" high, circa 1756, red anchor mark
See Albert Amor, The Robert Burke Collection, May 2024, number 7, for another example of this rare figure
