A superb pair of Royal Crown Derby large vases

A superb pair of Royal Crown Derby large ovoid vases and domed covers, each with two loop handles, very finely painted in coloured enamels by James Rouse Senior with a still love of flowers and leaves on stone ledge to one side, and fruits and leaves to the reverse, within oval gilt panels, the blue ground with gilt vertical bands, and stiff leaves, on square base, 16" high, printed marks in red and gilt for circa 1880 and signed in red beneath
