An extremely rare Chelsea model of ruins, in the white, modelled with a fountain, and applied with flowers and leaves, on scroll moulded mound base, 7 1/2" high, circa 1755-56, no mark

Provenance; English Private Collection

This rare model was intended as the base for a Chelsea clock, a coloured example now in the Royal Collection. A further example is in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
