An unusual Chamberlain's Worcester small plate

A Chamberlain's Worcester plate, of unusually small size, from the King of Hanover Service, finely painted in coloured enamels with a figure of Sappho, within a gilt roundel, the blue ground border with scrolling gilt leaves, 6 1/2" diameter, circa 1796, titled in black verso

A large portion of this service is displayed at Clarence House, London

The title King of Hanover was held but rarely used by King George III
