A rare Worcester teacup and a Meissen saucer
A rare Worcester teacup, of Meissen form, with loop handle, finely painted in coloured enamels in the London atelier of James Giles with a full blown pink rose and leaves, and other flowers and leaves, beneath a brown line rim, the handle picked out in puce, circa 1758, underglaze blue crossed swords and numeral 9 mark, and a Meissen saucer, very similarly painted, gilt line rim, circa 1750, underglaze blue crossed swords mark
