A Bow vase

A rare Bow ovoid pot pourri vase, the base with three standing putto, emblematic of Drama, Music and Dancing, the vase painted in coloured enamels with flowers and leaves, and picked out in blue, puce and yellow, the scroll moulded base applied with coloured flowers and leaves, 7" high, circa 1759, no mark

This vase relates in form to the celebrated Bow 'Handel' vase, now in the British Museum, which is dated 1759 and inscribed with the initials 'TF', probably for Thomas Frye, the proprietor of the Bow factory
