A Worcester plate, with indented rim, painted in shades of green in the London atelier of James Giles with the 'Horner of Mells' pattern of clusters of fruits, flowers and leaves, within a gilt line border, 8 3/4" diameter, circa 1768-70, no mark

Provenance; English Private Collection

A service in this pattern was in the possession of Sir John Horner of Mells, who is believed to be the 'Little Jack Horner' of nursery rhyme fame
