A Derby centre dish

Coldwell Collection 

A Derby deep rectangular centre dish, with two gilt 'C' scroll handles, finely painted in coloured enamels by William 'Quaker' Pegg with a purple 'Double Poppy', the underside painted with 'Tulip' and 'Scarlet Lobelia', the corners moulded with lion masks, gilt line rims, 11 1/2" wide, circa 1813-15, crowned crossed batons mark in red, and titled in red beneath
