A Nantgarw plate, of Duke of Cambridge type, finely painted in coloured enamels, probably in the London workshops of Thomas Martin Randall, with a spray of flowers and leaves, the red 'drapery' ground with alternating panels of birds, still lives and ruins, within gilt borders, and a gilt leaf scroll and dentil rim, 9 1/2" diameter, circa 1818-20, no mark
A service of this pattern was a wedding present to HRH Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge from the Prince Regent in 1818
