A rare Charles Gouyn (St James's Factory) oval bonbonniere, in the form of Cupid in the lap of Venus, together holding a pair of billing doves, and decorated in coloured enamels, on grassy mound base painted with pink flowers and leaves, the interior painted with flowers, and a green stiff leaf band, the flower painted enamel cover with hinged gilt metal mounts, 2" high, circa 1752-54
