A rare Stephen Folch plate, finely painted in coloured enamels with a named view 'View of Halpy on the Jumna, INDIA',  the border moulded in relief with 'C' scrolls and ribbon tied garlands of flowers, gilt line rim, 8 1/4" diameter, circa 1820-28,  titled in puce verso

The attribution to Folch is based on marked Ironstone plates of exactly this model
