A rare Flight Worcester large chocolate cup and stand

A rare Flight Worcester large flared chocolate cup and stand, with two scroll moulded loop handles, superbly painted in coloured enamels by William Billingsley with sprays of flowers and leaves, within gilt panels, on a powerful blue and gilt spirally striped ground, gilt line rims, circa 1792-1800, blue crescent marks

It is recorded that whilst based at Mansfield circa 1799-1800, William Billingslwy purchased blank porcelain to decorated, including from the Chamberlain factory in Worcester. Flight Worcester porcelain with outside decoration is very rare. The style of this cup and saucer relates closely to Derby decorated by Billingsley before he left the factory in 1795
