A Chelsea octagonal beaker

A Chelsea tall octagonal beaker, finely painted in coloured enamels in Meissen style with figures in an extensive river landscape, with mountains beyond, flanked by trees and rockwork, 2 5/8" high, circa 1752, stilt marks

Provenance; English Private Collection

It is interesting to note that this beaker initially was conceived with a handle, which has been removed and ground down before the glaze firing
