A scarce set of twelve Coalport dinner plates from the Garter Service

A scarce set of twelve Coalport dinner plates, from the Garter Service, each centrally painted with the Garter badge, the scroll moulded border decorated in blue and gilt, 10" diameter, circa 1845, impressed marks and printed retailers marks in puce for Nixon and Son, Windsor 

These rare plates were probably commissioned by the Royal Household for use at Garter banquets at Windsor Castle
