A Chelsea large oval bonbonniere, in the form of a young girl and two boys with a dog, on a grassy mound, the girl looking through a light-box, one boy wearing a wide-brimmed hat, the other wearing a tricorn hat, and richly decorated in coloured enamels and gilt, and inscribed on a ribbon over one shoulder 'Curiositte Des Belles' (sic), the interior painted in coloured enamels with scattered flowers, within a green stiff leaf band, the Battersea enamel cover with hinged gilt metal mounts, and painted in colours to the interior and exterior with flowers, 2 3/8" high, circa 1765
