A fine Derby plate

Literature:
See John Twitchett, Derby Porcelain, figure 250, for a square green ground dish painted by Billingsley and previously in the possession of the Campden family

A fine Derby plate, superbly painted in coloured enamels, probably by William Billingsley, with a roundel of flowers and leaves, within a gilt band, on a rare bright green ground, the rim with a gilt and blue enamel flower head panelled band, 9 1/2" diameter, circa 1795, crowned crossed batons mark in blue

The quality and condition of this plate is superb
