An extremely rare Chelsea oval butter dish and cover, moulded with overlapping petals, and finely painted in coloured enamels to the interior and exterior with sprays of flowers and leaves, and scattered flowers, the knop in the form of full blown pink rose and a bud, brown line rims, 5 1/4" wide, circa 1755, red anchor mark

We can only find one comparable example in our archive, which appeared in the London auction rooms, circa 1980.
